Solo Horn
Robin Teague

Robin started playing at a young age in the learners group at St Breward Band Room, taught mostly by Mr Micky Hunt like a lot of brass players he started on the cornet, eventually making it into the senior band on the back row. Robin played several different parts in the band including cornet ,percussion, many years on flugelhorn and now on solo horn, but does enjoy playing bass drum on the march.

In the wider banding field Robin is on the executive committee of the Cornwall Brass Band Association currently holding the position of Treasurer, he is also on the executive committee of the South West Brass Band Association where he holds the position of contest controller for the Exmouth Brass Band Festival, he is also a delegate for the Council of the West Of England Regional Committee that run and organise the area qualifiers contest for the West of England each year. The highlight of his banding career would be walking out on to the Stage at the Royal Albert Hall for the year 2000 National Finals.

1st Horn
Jackie Harris

I was lucky enough to be invited to join St Breward Silver Band in 2001 after my daughter joined and I said I wished I could play but sadly I couldn't even read music. The band were so welcoming and have taught me everything I know!
I started on back row cornet but found the instrument quite a challenge so moved onto baritone which I took to immediately. Later due to players moving on I was asked to move to tenor horn an instrument I absolutely adore and constantly strive to play better.

My highlight with the band must be winning the National Championships in 2009, a very proud moment.
